Katalox Light Iron Reduction Media Filtration Systems outperform other media used for iron reduction. This is due to its high manganese dioxide content relative to other media, which usually have less than 10% manganese dioxide. It also has a higher flow rate, longer lifespan, and wider range of pH tolerance. It's also chlorine tolerant and works well with oxidizing agents.
